Walking with a loved one through a diagnosis and sitting with them until the end is an experience few of us are prepared for. These weekly mini-courses will help caregivers and family members better understand the end-of-life process and options and be more ready for what’s to come. Rotating topical sessions will be led by different instructors and include the opportunity to have your own specific questions addressed.
Basic courses include:
- Hospice 101:
Presented by Christin Ament: An overview of palliative care and the basics of hospice
Signs and Stages of Dying:
Presented by Christin Ament: What to look for and expect when someone is nearing the end
Being Present with Death:
Presented by Dr Randine Lewis: Tools to help you emotionally and spiritually prepare yourself for being with someone who is dying

Present by Veronica Barnes: Seasonal suggestions for connecting with plants and animal allies when we are facing difficult times
